I am very pleased to welcome you to the official website of Anguilla’s Financial Services Commission.

The Financial Services Commission is Anguilla’s licensing and regulatory body for the financial services industry.

In the Review of Financial Regulation in the Caribbean Overseas Territories and Bermuda, carried out by the firm, KPMG, in 2000, a major recommendation was for the regulator of financial services in Anguilla to become an operationally independent body, acting in the best interests of regulation, free from political and private sector influences, dependent on its own funding source and subject to oversight by an independent and experienced supervisory board.

I am pleased to advise that Anguilla’s Commission meets all these requirements, which are also mirrored in the Core Principles of the major financial services standard setters, such as Basel, IAIS, and IOSCO.

I hope that you will find this website both user-friendly and informative as to the areas of financial services covered by Anguilla and by the Commission. Financial services is important to the economy and people of Anguilla and I have every confidence that under the regulatory guidance of the Commission the industry will grow in a safe and secure manner.
