Members of the Commission - Robert Hudson - Deputy Director
Robert Hudson was appointed to the post of Deputy Director in July 2011. Mr. Hudson is a Canadian lawyer, called to the bar in British Columbia and a Certified Management Accountant. Mr. Hudson holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Victoria.
Mr. Hudson has worked for 20 years in the securities industry, including 17 years in policy, legal and management positions at the British Columbia Securities Commission and 3 years as head of regulatory affairs at a start-up stock exchange specializing in real estate securities.
In addition to his Canadian experience, Mr. Hudson has worked in Asia as a technical advisor to the State Securities Commission of Vietnam and as an expert for the Securities and Exchange Commission of Cambodia. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hudson worked in a number of fields, including as a Vice-Consul at the Canadian Consulate General in New York City.
